JK Player is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary for app functionality:

1.1 Information You Provide

• Media Library Access: With your permission, we access local media files on your device to populate your library
• IPTV URLs & Playlists: URLs and M3U playlists you add to the app are stored locally on your device
• App Settings & Preferences: Your theme preferences, player settings, and app configurations
• Private Folder PIN: If you enable the private folder feature, your PIN is stored securely using Android Keystore

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Playback History: Recent videos and playback positions for resume functionality
• Favorite Items: Videos, channels, or playlists you mark as favorites
• App Usage Data: Locally stored data about which features you use (not transmitted to us)

2. How We Use Information

All data collected is used solely for providing and improving app functionality:

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data security is our priority:

• Local Storage: All your data is stored locally on your device using Android's secure storage APIs
• No Cloud Sync: We do not sync your data to our servers or cloud services
• Encryption: Sensitive data like PINs are encrypted using Android Keystore
• Private Folder: Contents are stored in app-private storage, inaccessible to other apps
• Biometric Security: Optional fingerprint/face unlock uses your device's secure biometric APIs

4. Third-Party Services

JK Player integrates with the following third-party services:

4.1 Google Play Services

We use Google Play Services for app functionality and updates. Google Play Services may collect:

• Device information and identifiers
• App usage and performance data
• Information as described in Google's Privacy Policy

4.2 AdMob (Google Mobile Ads)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the app. AdMob may collect:

• Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
• IP address and location data (approximate)
• Ad interaction data (clicks, impressions)
• App usage information for ad personalization

Ad Personalization: You can opt-out of personalized ads through your device settings:

• Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization

4.3 External Content

When you access IPTV streams or external URLs:

• Your requests go directly to the content provider, not through our servers
• We do not track, log, or intercept your streaming activity
• The content provider's privacy policy applies to their services

5. Permissions We Request

JK Player requests the following Android permissions:

• Storage (Read/Write): To access and display your local media files
• Internet: To stream online content and download updates
• Network State: To detect connectivity and adjust streaming quality
• Biometric (Optional): For fingerprint/face unlock in Private Folder and App Lock
• Foreground Service: For background audio playback
• Wake Lock: To prevent screen dimming during playback

You can review and revoke permissions at any time in Android Settings.

6. Children's Privacy

JK Player is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us immediately.

7. Your Privacy Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: All your data is stored locally and accessible to you at any time
• Deletion: You can delete all app data by clearing app data in Android Settings or uninstalling the app
• Control: You control what content you access and what features you use
• Advertising Opt-Out: You can opt-out of personalized ads in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads)
• Reset Advertising ID: You can reset your advertising ID in device settings to limit ad tracking

8. Data Retention

Your data remains on your device until you:

• Manually delete it within the app
• Clear app data in Android Settings
• Uninstall the application

We do not store your data on remote servers, so there is nothing to delete from our end.

9. International Users

JK Player can be used worldwide. If you use the app outside your country of residence, your data remains stored locally on your device. We do not transfer data across borders.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the updated policy within the app
• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Showing an in-app notification for significant changes

Continued use of the app after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Advertising and Tracking

JK Player displays advertisements through Google AdMob. While we do not directly track users, AdMob may collect data for ad personalization as described in section 4.2. You can control ad personalization through your device settings.

We respect your privacy and only use third-party services (Google Play Services and AdMob) necessary for app functionality and monetization.
